EBUL Rainout rules
We cannot play on the Berkeley fields (Willard, San Pablo) when they are wet, when it is raining, or when field closure signs are present.
Albany (Ocean View field on Buchanan) is more lenient. Drizzle is OK for play, as long as there's no puddles.
Check the EBWL hotline or the home page for field status. Fields are sometimes closed for a few days after rain due to poor drainage. Absence of lights after 7:00p may be a sign that the fields are closed.
East Bay Ultimate Fields Contribution
The Ocean View (Buchanan) fields cost us about $200/month. We actively collect at the fields in order to cover our costs but we have been falling short for the last few months due to the inconvenience of collecting at the actual fields where we want to play like the rest of us.
