- UPA 10th Edition, except as noted below
- games to 13 points
- Soft cap (of the first game) at 8:15p. (After the current point, play to 13 or to the highest score plus two, whichever is less.) Hard cap at 8:25p. (The team that's up wins, else next point wins.) It's a second round captain's responsibility to announce the cap.
- no half time, two timeouts per team per game, no timeouts after the cap is in effect
- 20-yard brick
- zone is allowed
- poaching when a beginner is throwing, or onto or off of a beginner receiver, is not allowed; it's not a poach once the disc is in the air; switching is allowed
- gender ratio is 5/2
Captains have agreed not to pick up players, except when seriously short-handed, and only with approval from the opposing captain, who may require a forfeit. Pick-ups are limited to those who are registered in the league. Friday nights, including beginners' clinics, are open to all.
We cannot play on the Berkeley fields (Willard, San Pablo) when they are wetobviously not when it is raining, or when field closure signs are present. Albany (Ocean View field) is more lenient, in that drizzle is OK for play, as long as it's not collecting in puddles.
Check the EBWL hotline for field status. Fields are sometimes closed for a few days after rain due to poor drainage. Absence of lights after 7:00p may be a sign that the fields are closed (or just that the maintenace staff haven't turned them on yet).
Misc.
No alcoholic beverages on the fields. Dogs must be leashed. Buy Mike and Ken and Page a beer whenever you see them empty.
